Our Solution Engineering department supports our customers with the concept development and implementation of IoT projects. They conduct exploratory talks with machine builders, realise concepts and demonstrate solutions to external project teams.
As a solution engineer you will become the technical consultant for our German Sales office. You will work closely with our German Accountmanagers to ensure that our solution matches our customer’s IoT objectives as closely as possible. As the IXON platform ensures the connectivity between the IT and OT you are able to close the gap and advise the machine builder on how IoT could impact their service-and engineering process.
Besides our own platform you should be able to advise on the implementation of the IXON platform in the IT landscape of the OEM. For example how information from the ERP or CRM system could bring value to the customer portal provided by IXON.
Your daily responsibilities will also include:
– Taking the lead in discovery meetings with the machine builder;
– Ability to demonstrate our solution to potential customers;
– Guide the sales opportunity together with the AM;
– Hand over implementation projects to professional services or partners.

You complement this with a solid technical background, that helps you truly understand the challenges of our customers and connect these to the technical capabilities of our platform. Experience in factory automation;
– Background in OT (industrial automation) or IT (software engineering);
– Analytic skills for understanding our customer;
– Presentation and communication skills inside meetings;
– Fluent in German and English, both verbally as well as in writing.
